As we near the end of our third year, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on our achievements to date, and to thank you for all your support this year.
We are really excited about our after school clubs programme for the Autumn term. This is open to years 1,2,3 this term. Following parent feedback, we have increased the number of clubs available. As the age range of our children grows, we have started to provide some clubs for the older and younger year groups.
At One Degree academy we believe that a smart school uniform fosters a feeling of belonging, and encourages children to take pride in their school. We have high standards for uniform and believe it is important in communicating the high standards we have for our children.
We have some children who have been diagnosed with Chickenpox in school. Chickenpox is a common illness that mainly affects children and causes an itchy, spotty rash. Chickenpox is caused by a virus that spreads very easily to people who haven't had it before. If you have had it before, you'll usually be immune for life.
I am delighted to be able to share with you the report we have received from Ofsted following our inspection in February 2019.
It gives me great pleasure to confirm that we have been graded as ‘Outstanding’ in every area.
We have just told your child's school that we will inspect it on 12 February 2019. The lead inspector will be Andrew Hook, HMI. We are writing to you because we would like to know what you think about the school. Please take a few minutes to read the leaflet which came with this letter. It explains why we inspect schools, and what happens during an inspection.
